Castleford Academy Trust
You are here: Information - Join Our Trust
We are actively seeking to expand the number of academies in our Trust.
We recognise fully that joining an Academy Trust can be a big step for a maintained school or a single academy. Considering joining or deciding on which Trust to select can be a formidable task. We would encourage you to contact us to have an open and no obligation conversation to find out more about our Trust and what we can offer. We will ensure that all discussions are confidential and our approach is to consider what is possible and what will be the best outcome for the pupils.
Castleford Academy Trust currently comprises of 5 academies; two secondary, and three primaries, based within the Wakefield district. We value the individuality of the academies within our trust, whilst also recognising that by sharing outstanding practise and effective leadership, we can work together to develop the quality of teaching and learning for all our pupils.
We are fully committed to “working together to achieve excellence for all”. Within Castleford Academy Trust, in our pursuit of excellence, we work hard to ensure that no child is left behind. The Trust puts pupils at the heart of everything we do. In our commitment to excellence, we place ourselves at the forefront of educational developments, creating an environment which is innovative, a positive climate for learning and attainment and fully supports pupil’s social and emotional developments.
Being part of a Trust provides networking opportunities, opportunities to share skills and expertise as well as to access support. There is strong evidence produced by the Department for Education that joining a Trust improves teaching and learning standards as well as providing development opportunities for teaching staff. Being part of a Trust also has financial benefits that include the sharing of central service personnel, improved negotiating opportunities, benefits from economies of scale as well as access to consistent centralised services.
Joining Castleford Academy Trust will also create additional opportunities for support staff, teachers and leaders to access joint professional development, network, moderate and collaborate to further improve teaching and learning outcomes for all children.
We will provide oversight and expertise guiding any incoming Schools in to our Trust with project plans, communication strategies and due diligence support.
Highlighted below are some of the areas where shared governance and collaborative working could secure an improved educational experience for the academies we serve:
