School Governors play a vital role in helping to ensure every young person within Castleford Trust receives the highest quality education, opportunities and support.
Local Governing Boards work in partnership with academy leaders and the Trust to provide oversight, support and challenge. Governors act as critical friends to school leadership, helping to shape strategic direction, monitor standards, and ensure that each academy remains focused on improving outcomes for pupils.
We welcome expressions of interest from people who are passionate about education, community and young people. Becoming a school governor is a rewarding role and will allow you the opportunity to use your skills and attributes to have a positive impact on the education of children within our Trust. Governors come from a wide range of professional and personal backgrounds. What matters most is a commitment to our vision of working together to achieve excellence for all and alignment with our values of Care, Aspire, Succeed.
As a governor within Castleford Trust, you will be supported through induction training and our annual Castleford Trust Conference. You will develop new skills, work collaboratively with others, and make a meaningful contribution to the success of a school and its community.
If you are interested in becoming a governor, we would welcome an initial confidential conversation to discuss the role and explore whether governorship with Castleford Trust may be right for you. Please contact us via our Contact Us page.
Castleford Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All trustees are required to undertake appropriate suitability and safeguarding checks.
